Only experience i have with a manual controller was with an old turbo'd Singlecam Civic of mine way back in the day. It was a bit of a pain to make adjustments, constantly stopping, popping the hood, and redialing it. The moment i sat down in a subaru and found out it was done all by the click of a mouse, i was hooked.
Hybrid setup is awesome, you get the benefits of both worlds. Rock solid (constant) peak boost with taper to redline. Plus the manual boost controller stops over boosting. Win-win in my eyes
