Default My new FR-S

I've been a NASIOC'er for quite some time. I lurk a lot and make the occasional snark here and there. I've have a tastefully modded 2006 WRX Wagon and a desirable 2005 STIi (the best vintage, IMO). I jumped over to MINI for a bit because I loved the tossability of a small FWD hatch and that revised engine was such a treat. Turbo, Forged internals, BMW VVT (whatever the corporate name for it is), DI. The car drove awesome. Add in those factory driving lights and a st of Rally Armour flaps and she was a proper back road bomber. But she was never meant to be a long term car. I kill cars with my job. 35K is an average year. I had to set her free.

Why Toyobaru?

Not FI. My first in almost 10 years. So much less to go wrong (yes, I understand it is a high compression motor with DI).

The dynamics of the car need no further praise. I've been fortunate enough to drive some high end cars on a few amazing roads. The 86 is amazing. I feel bad for the goobers that are going to throw extra wide wheels on this car. Think about it before you do it. If you are still thinking of doing it, sit down and think again.

So I went to my favorite Subaru dealer and they didn't have anything. I wanted a white BRZ at that point. I left there and retreated towards my lunch destination. In my distress I neglected to remember that this town had a very strong and reputable Toyota dealership. To keep this short, they made a strong deal, I was weakened in the legs by my test drive and she's gonna look like a mean bitch in that color. All parties were made happy.
