Well now that you mention that, I'm gonna say your pilot bearing could be starting to seize. The only reason I'm fairly certain it would be that is because it would cause the noise when pushing in the clutch and might cause the engine to still be connected to your tranny, hence your stalling issue. One way to test this is to push in the clutch, put it into first gear, and see if it starts to move as if you were slightly letting off the clutch. Are you going to be pulling things apart yourself?
