It isn't intended from Subaru to be exact match, it's just easier for people to read AFR instead of pulse width. If making it match throws off your maf scaling so that it isn't linear, that isn't really a good thing. Just my .02.
I scaled it within .2(actual AFR being .2 richer) and the MAF still looks really good. It is just a personal preference of mine to have it match... Now to install the MBC, Wally 255 and all my wrap/turbo blanket/Heatshield!
