I have an '06 WRX wagon with about 85,xxx miles. My A/C recently stopped working, and I'd like to get it fixed before the warmer summer weather hits ... already I've been missing it. =(
Earlier today I tried one of those R134a canisters with the built-in pressure gauges on the low-pressure port (with the engine and A/C running). I added a bit of the charge and heard a rapid hissing sound as I watched the pressure drop. Even after I turned the A/C and engine off, I could still hear a bit of the hissing until finally (I presume) the charge all dissipated.
I don't really have the time or skills to track down the source of the leak and fix it myself =( ... can anyone vouch for a shop down here for their A/C repair work, pricing, and service?
