Nothing wrong with using a torque wrench to remove things per se, but the head of the torque wrench is large and may hit the strut bolts or brake line, as well as you may damage the torque wrench itself.

Go to harbor freight and buy yourself a breaker bar, it has no head and swivels so it can fit into tight places, as well as being able to turn from different angles. SHould be around $10.

Then jack up the car and take off both front wheels. Turn the steering wheel full left when working on the left side and full right when working on the right side, this sometimes helps to give you more room.

I just did the brakes on my brothers EVO X yesterday and his brakes are even bigger than yours. It was a biotch to break the top bolt loose, but when i threw on the breaker bar, it went super easy.
