Conquering scratches. You don't want to use touch up paint on them, I've learned, because the touch up paint doesn't perfectly match the car's paint. I've already wet sanded an area that I used touch up paint on, where the paint bubbled over the surrounding area. I've now wetsanded it down to be flat. But the area is on the top part of the scoop. There is a small area offset from the rest of the hood, about 1" wide. That is where this has all taken place.
So, do I need a rotary to bring the shine back to this spot or will a DA, compounding pad, and Meguiar's Ultimate Compound do the trick?
