If the C30 were offered with AWD, yes, even Haldex...

I would consider it for a runabout/commuter.

3+ inches of snow this morning, YES, on May Second... and 6 FWD cars, 2 RWD cars/trucks, and semi in the ditch before 7:30 am.

Most of them... were facing backwards to the flow of traffic because the 40+mph cross wind was breaking rear traction, and spinning the cars out on the slick surface.

It is for days like today that I own AWD cars, with good tires. Effective even at 30-40mph max speed, with slow and steady driving techniques. It isn't about being an idiot and speeding in bad road conditions.

almost no plows on the road today... most municipal trucks have been de-winterized, and the plows removed for summer dump truck duty, and the heavy wet slushy snow is very slick and slimy/sticky.

Today is the reason why I want an AWD coupe... because I would have had a much more difficult, and potentially damage-inducing commute in the Miata, or a Mustang, or a Genesis, or even other FWD coupes.

Snow tires are usually off the cars by May, just as the plows are off the trucks.

Even if it is rare for May, October through April isn't as rare around here for flash weather changes.
