Its possible that the IAM has dropped and reduced WGDC to limit boost as much as possible...

In any even you would need a Tactrix cable or AP to start working on that end. If I were you, I would have the car pressure tested for a boost leak/post maf leak (there is a difference between the two but it is the same test). If that checks out, reset the ecu and see where you are with boost.
