I bought a whole used WRX assembly i.e. rotors, calipers & brackets, though I think you can just get the rotors & brackets to use with the 2.5i calipers, maybe someone else can chime in on that. The rotor is a larger diameter, so the caliper has to be spaced further out from center.
It doesn't get rid of all the movement before the biting point, but because you are getting the same braking force with less pedal force, you are not having to push the pedal as hard, and therefore there's less flex at the MC.
If you really want to remove all
the play get the MC brace, it definitely works.
Thinking about it, I tried the MC brace after
I installed the WRX setup, so maybe that's why I see no difference during regular DD-ing......
