Yes. In general, a wider wheel will require a lower offset. However, an 18x8.5 +48 will fit under a wagon with 225/40/18s with little issue. I ran a 235/35/18 (a little bit short sidewall, but wider tire) on an 18x8.5 +48 on my wagon and only had to roll the fenders because I was dropped at least 2" below stock. I ran -1.5* of negative camber up front and the rear was natural camber from lowering the car.
