Wow that Snout Repair kit sounds like the proper explanation for everything that's been going on (i.e. from the early explanations of a lack of grease at the clutch fork to the grinding sensation felt in the pedal). That SHOULD be a factory recall fix, IMO. The worst part is that this has apparently been an issue since 2005! I guess that also explains why my 2004 WRX (my last car) had no similar clutch issues what-so-ever since it was a better design.
I'm saving that link as a bookmark and I'm going to see about having that installed myself the next time I'm over there. It's something the dealerships should be made aware of since most obviously don't have a clue.
