Wrong forum chief. Normally I'd tell you to get ****ed as result but instead let me tell you a story (Been there done this)...

When I was 16 and saving money for my first car I wanted a BMW 325is or Porsche 944S. Shortly after turning 17 I got a windfall 5K, whick added to what I had saved allowed me to look at newer nicer cars. I saw the 98-01 2.5RS's and knew I simply had too have one. So after months and months of searching I found one, bought it, and had it shipped halfway across the country one month shy of my 18th birthday. Keep in mind this was money that I had been working since age 14 to save and it was all my money that bought the car and paid the bills that came along with it.

I was a complete idiot with it, they're not particularly fast but they're fast enough, even worse they're easy to drive fast and have a look that encourages people to try and get you to race and in general act like an idiot. Because you're 17/18 you won't resist that temptation. You'll end up getting tickets, probably break the the car, and likely wreck it. Not because I think you're an idiot but because at 17/18 with a car like that you will act like an idiot.

Take it from a kid who did buy the RS (1999 model) and is now damn near 26, instead of spending 5-10k on a car that is becoming increasingly rare that you will almost definitely ruin, save your money, spend 3-5K on a car that won't tempt you to behave like an idiot and after you're about 21 or so, if you haven't wrecked or ruined that car then get yourself something a bit nicer. Trust me, you can have just as much fun driving a slow car as you can a fast one.

I'm not bashing you, but save yourself the heartache, nothing sucks more that looking at your crumpled dream and knowing you have no one to blame but yourself and no money to fix it. Almost 8 years later and I still miss my RS
