^exactly! especialy with diesel prices being higher than premium fuel these days. it will really take some serious milage. i did the math on my ford truck in 2004, the diesel was around $10K option and diesel was cheaper than regular at the time, $1.50, if i remember correctly. eitherway, i had to drive 100K miles until the increased MPG and lower price of diesel put me out of the red over buying one with a gas motor. these days it be well over 100K miles to recoup the money, but i guess the same applies with buying hybrid cars. only reason to buy it is you want to be green, bc financially it doesnt make sense. the truck does have 240K now..., but diesel prices are killing me, $160 bux to fill up now!
