Used autocad in college and some in my first few jobs(EE) meh. last job they asked me to do some fluids based design work (oil field) and turns out I am a pretty good ME. Taught myself to use SW (and Camworks) on their dime then bought some machinery and started a biz designing and machining high pressure sour service fittings. Win. Ive been using SW since 09 and love it. I start designing and hours just fly by. Cool thing with 3d modeling, especially when using an integrated cam suite is, you can design a part in the moring, send it to your cnc and have the EXACT part in your hands by the end of the day.
I plan on making some stuff for the GR this fall when biz slows down. Im open to requests lol.
