sure, they will be happy not to do it. If you want them to do it, the fumoto valve should not be hard for them to figure out without you even mentioning it.
If they can't figure it out, don't let them service your car in any capacity.
And of course, when they are done, check to make sure you have oil in the car, and that the valve is closed in its locked position.
when I went in for that thermometer update I did not remove the fumoto valve. I did put in the paper air filter, and pulled the perrin foam one, but that is just so I didn't get any feedback from them about something I already thoroughly researched myself.
