I can't see a use for a 6th gear in a car this light though unless it's purely for the flats. Bremar in austrailia was the first place I saw a rwd suby tranny and that was a long time ago. I decided a long time ago some people can tear just about anything up if they try hard enough. As for the suby 6spd. My son's 04 sti has been scratching 5th almost since it was new at high rpm's and he is not rough on it so so much for the great suby 6 spd. It could be the suby salesman showed it to too many customers before my son bought it. He gave us a serious test drive but never actually got it in 5th around the dealership while we were trying it out. I have never heard it not scratch at 7k in 5th.
818 would be a FWD conversion, not RWD.
