So to confirm, the stock oil pressure sending unit serves no purpose? It's just there, collecting dust under the alternator? Much like the white PCV "sensor" that connects to the inlet back by the turbo?

I'm going to be giving this a shot in a totally different (more volatile) climate, extreme heat on a daily driven built engine. I will try to update with my findings/results.
