Out of curiosity, why do you think I would not like the coilovers in the long run? NVH? Upkeep? General ride characteristics?

The Feal inserts look sweet, but they are a bit pricey. For a while I was considering their coilovers too.
For me, coil overs are best for ether, track cars, weekend warrior cars, some one who likes futzing with stuff often, or some one who just wants them just because that's what they want.

For the most part, coil overs require a more complicated set up, occasional (some lots more than others) maintenance and require rebuilding before a strut will need replacing.

I'm sure I come across as a coil over hater, I'm not at all. I just think that 75% of the people who have them don't really need them and would be better suited by a good spring/strut combo. A good spring/strut combo will ride great for a street car (and some are great on the track too) and be worry free for up to 100k with out issue. I don't know of any coil over that can do that.

Now if all you are into is slamming the car, a cheap set of coil overs will do fine, but your will pay a MASSIVE ride quality price.
