I did a quicky calculation once and determined that the impact on timing is fairly negligible (~3deg on a 2mm thick gasket IIRC), but it will happen.

Should you be concerned about it?? Can't answer that for you, but I would imagine that +/- 3 deg is well within the realm of an engine/ECU's tolerances. **shrug**
