Bell Engineering has been making aerodyne-based turbo kits for years. They have been used on Miatas primarily. Corky has build a twin aerocharger system for the NSX as well. Historically, the aerocharger has its strengths as well as its weaknesses. Strengths being excellent low speed response and self-contained lubrication system. The latter offer some flexibility in terms of placement and packaging. Downsides have been shady reliabilty (esp. at higher flow/boost levels), cost and complexity. According to Aerodyne (the manufacturer of the Aerocharger), the new-style vein actuator has improved these problem areas. Only time will tell...
