There are plenty of engineering compromizes in the M3, why do you think it tips the scales at 3450lbs(too much luxury compromizing all that performance). Now the M3 lightwieght on the otherhand, thats like an ITR with 340hp and RWD. Last I heard BMW has no plans to bring the lightweight to the US though.
