I had this setup on my car for two years, but the return oil pressurized the valve cover even though the turbo sat higher than the valve cover.

It was not an issue for daily driving, but the return oil pressure and volume sent excessive amounts of oil out of the valve cover breather vent and into the turbo and intercooler during long high-g turns on the track. The oil caused detonation and high oil consumption within a few fast laps on the track.

I recently got the valve cover return port blocked off and the oil return now goes into the oil pan.
