Spoke with service director this morning. He was baffled that something like this could happen, he left to talk to the mechanic who worked on my car, (different than the weekend worker), and returned being mostly apologetic.
At first he said he could not provide the extended warranty but before long he said he probably could give me the extended power train warranty. He also offered other alternatives like a couple free oil changes
, or half price on my 30K service.
Interestingly, he volunteered that if I had plans on "juicing up" my car in any way it would probably void my warranty anyway. Funny, because I wondering about that.
We did not finalize anything before I left.
So what say you, would it be worthwhile getting the extended power train warranty and being done with this or should we go a different route.
