Just remember that 2 x 0 = 0, and 4 x 0 = 0. AWD or not, if the tires aren't up for winter use (and those on the STi aren't), you won't be a happy camper when he calls and says that your car slid into curb. You also have to factor in the operating temperature of the tire. The rubber compound of the RE070s probably gets pretty hard in cold winter weather...
