If it's MT, keep some money aside for a lightweight flywheel should you ever replace the clutch. Or do it now if you can get it done without the cost of labor (i.e. yourself or have a friend). Trivial difference when cruising on the highway, but getting up to that speed or tooling around town is MUCH improved.
I have a MY97 OBS and found that setting my valve lash uniformly tight really unleashed the motor's top end. It feels slightly more "solid" by around 3k, but get to ~5k and it takes off instead of just huffing and puffing. Idle got smoother, too. This is another one to do yourself or get help from a friend, though. I don't know what a shop would charge for this (it's actually pretty quick and easy), but it's probably not worth the cost.
