personal comments: Have used these two seasons up in New England, including lots of trips to mountains. Much better grip than RE-92's in snow/ice, so if you're wondering, get snow tires.

Compared to other snows I've used: Very good grip on acceleration, and good braking. They seem to have less lateral grip, not really biting at all if they slide sideways. May not be the best for ice racing. Relatively quiet and decent grip on dry roads, and good wear so far. Ice, slush and packed snow not a problem. Not the best at very deep snow (over a foot). The bazillion sipes (grooves) in the treads pick up a ton of pebbles, but I think of them as free studs. Overall - a good choice for 'normal' winter driving on bare roads, with some ice and plowed snow being a regular occurance.
