the T-series turbos (not T3 or T04) are intended for LARGE engines. A small-block V8 takes some time to spool a straight T-series turbo.
You might get away with running a T58 COMPRESSOR on a smaller (T3-series) turbine... but you better be shooting for a LOT more than 350hp before you put a straight T58 on ANYTHING.
