Ever since the weather got cold in NC a few weeks ago, whenever I drive my 98 Legacy Outback, it steams from under the hood for about 10 minutes or so. I am not talking about small ammounts of steam, I am talking clouds. The car has no visible loss of coolant, and the steam does not have that "sweet" smell--it also is not overheating.
This is only a problem after the car has been sitting in a steady rain, or extremely damp, cool weather.
The hood underneath the heat shield is very damp, with beads of condensation.
Other than the usual 98 Outback lifter clicking, the car is running perfectly.
