A documented swap would be excellent, but until then, maybe a collection of definitive info would be good? After searching through all of the threads, I have generally read that an EJ22T swap into a GC8 is very straightforward, but for those who have done it, what specifically is needed for the swap, and what speficically is to be expected? I keep seeing it mentioned that the stock ECU can be used, along with the 2.5 heads (SOHC or DOHC) and that all that is needed along with the block itself is a legacy oil pump.
Considering someone wanted to use the block as is with stock internals, what else is needed, and what else is to be expected or modified during swap, (injector mounting and location?) Also, what type of work is required to finish the project, being that it is straightforward?
