If you're putting the summer tires on in the summer, why wouldn't you get regular snow tires instead of M+S? Snow tires are a LOT better than all-seasons on snow... M+S is really meant for people who want to run the same tires all year long.
1. I have found most pure snow tires are $100+ more expensive per set then an all season.
2. Although I drive in snow now and again, its not a big part of life in NewHampshire. I just need something more capable then the, all but, drag radial the car came with.
