The problem in stroking these motors is that after you get to the EJ25 crank stroke length, you start to get very close to the edges of the casing with the rod bolts. Most/all of the built EJ25's need clearancing for the rod bolts in the block itself. I imagine if you go too much larger, you'll end up having to clearance enough to almost protrude into an oil galley.
