I would quibble with this a bit. Subaru manuals say synthetics are OK to use, but should still be changed at the regular intervals. Given that statement, I decided to stick with dino. (and the fact that I do not drive my car that hard--most of its miles are highway cruising)

"dino" for those like me that took a while to figure it out is short for "dinosaur" ie fossil fuel. (sometime misspelled "dyno")
