Unhappy Loss of power when accelerating sometimes...

I own a 99 outback sport, got 160,000k on it, however i am experiencing a problem lately that when i accelerate i lose power around 1500 to 2000 rpm and the car seems to bog down, and then when it hits 2500 rpm i get all the power back and car is fine. however, my shift pattern, manual transmission, falls into this range and therefore becomes irritating while driving in traffic, i have to keep the rpm's up...after a while the problem goes away, and the car is fine accelerating away at any rpm range...i have been trying to show the dealership, but the cay seems to work fine once i get there...i just got a new ignition coil which fixed some stuttering when engaging gears at even lower rpm's...i run 93oct. anyless and the problem becomes more prevailent...any ideas please?

thanx
