What I'm saying is submerged
which is about 2 feet/24". Again it's the air volume that was intended to fill the intake parameters that matters. As long as there is a significant amount of air present when in does enter intake, there should be no problems during the run.
All in all, there should be no big problems running an IC type or CAI if you abide to driving paved roads.
