In reference to you charlie III the sound is noticeable from 800 rpm to 1300 rpm and when i take my foot off the gas it dissappears untill the rpm drops to 850 rpm (minimum idle).
The high pitched sound is more noticeable when the engine is warm (this could be because it is idling higher im not sure)
I can not pinpoint where the sound is coming from, it appears to be on both sides of the engine bay and not sure if its louder in the front or the back of the engine.
Is there any way with a tool or something to work out where the sound is the loudest?
can the fuel injectors make a high pitched noise?
The timing belt has been recently changed and the belts seem in good condition also power streering, alternator and air conditioning belts are all ok, when i remove these belts the noise is still there, if i remove the timing belt left and right side covers the noise does not change (get louder).
Riosubagt it dose not sound like a wwwrrr sound
hopefully in the next few days i will try your trick of a hose near the pulleys to find out the noise they are making
I'm not sure what the carb seal is ?? is that the inlet manifold?
