I said the Ver 7 heads are NO better then the Ver 6 RA. totoherbs posted a picture of the small port USDM wrx heads. If you read the post that he got those pictures from you will find out in fact the Ver 6 RA heads have the large ports just like the Ver 7.

ImprezaRSfan! you are the one that is saying the Ver 7 is superior and pushing that he buys a "Newer and better" Ver 7.

LOL i think its funny you think just because an engine is a year newer it has lower miles. I bet you beleive that all JDM engines have under 20k too!
Moss never said anything about mileage. If you had the chance to get a 2001 engine or a 2002 engine, not mentioning anything about mileage, wouldnt you take the newer one? Its physically been out in the real world for a year less, making it newer. I know i would take it.

Every version sti engine is better than the last, otherwise the newest version 8 sti would be a 10 year old design, not a brand new design with a twinscroll setup, nitrided crank, better oiling, revised intake manifold, tighter tolerances with hypereuretic pistons, etc etc.

Moss just asked which one has its advantages/disadvantages.
V.6 - price ?
V.7 - many improvements/changes.

As the mazda crowd says..... The 7 never losses.
