Different levels of comfort/performance, according to our perspective, can be obtained with a judicious application of sound deadening materials. One is the none version and for hauling arse around the backroads, who cares how loud it is! Another is for those that do a bit of daily driving and want some sembilance of reasonable noise abatement. That can be acheived with a weight penalty, in the middle of the car, around 30 lbs, with the side effect of improving the audio system SQ, being that you have installed one. Then you can move on to the exceptionally quiet HP car with a more serious input of time and materials, yet keep it under 60 lbs, to make your car like a limo. Of course there will be disclaimeres, loud exhausts are hard to control, quality of the work is paramount, etc.
The real bottom line is that you what makes you happy, no matter what the rest of us think, we really do not count
