Hey rallysquirrel,

Here is the deal on Outbacks. There are no aftermarket struts that will clear the stock 205/70-15 tires. Any currently available strut (other than stock replacements) will also lower the car about an inch. You can keep your wheels and switch to something like 205/60-15 tires (about the same size as Legacy Gt 16" tires). In theory these will make your speedo read fast, but I am currently running Impreza RS 16" wheels and tires and I have not noticed anything. I suspect that Subaru didn't do anything to correct the speedo on Outbacks.
