If you're intent on fixing it, I would rough up the surface a bit and repair with epoxy. I have one type that comes in stick form, you just slice off a piece and knead it to mix in the catalyst. That stuff is incredibly strong, cures in about 5 minutes, and has a thick enough consistency to hold the parts in place while setting up.
