I did the swap, I did it because after resealing the oil pump and crank seal, the cam seals went out, and I was just annoyed.

Ultimate plan was for an EJ20k but I had access to an EJ25 for cheap and decided it would be a good temporary option.

For everything in the car running it was under $500. Running it off teh 1.8ECU is pretty ghetto, but it runs pretty darn good. I mean you simply cannot beat it for the money. Ive had it for close to 50,000 miles in my car, and still running strong. Its been a great CHEAP option for me until I can get the time for the EJ20 swap.

If it is going to be a more long term thing, It might be more worth it to spend more and go a different route.

In my position, I would definatly do it again.
