Yeah, but if I'm going to "do it right", I might as well do a WRX swap. I mean, the biggest problem with the WRX swap is the amount of downtime for the vehicle. Most people can't afford that. (or the cost)
With a 2.5, there is little wiring to do, and it's conceivable to have the car back up and running in less than a day.
