I've got a V7 EJ207 full swap in my RS. Its still got the VF30 and, at my altitude, Im getting 240whp/240tq out of it (tuned by Airboy). As usual, I'd like to go bigger. For a while, I was considering an 18g, but why half-ass it? So Im trying to decide between the GTX3071R and the Dom 1.5XTR. Both seem to be about the same range of turbo and I've heard good things about both of them on the EJ207.

My question is, which one? The Dom 1.5XTR is a little bit cheaper, but is the 3071 any better? Is it better enough to justify the added expense? They say the Dom was build for the EDM 2.0L STI engine and the JDM one is better, however Clark said he loves the 3071 on this motor.

Talking to Blouch, they said they expect the 1.5XTR to hit full spool around the low 4000rpm range. Of course, this is at sea level and Im at 3500ft. I haven't been able to find much in terms of the new 3071 on an EJ207.

In terms of power goals, I'd be thrilled with 340-360whp. I've got an HFS-6 that I can also install, but if the turbo alone can get me close to that goal without a crazy amount of lag, then Ill just sell the HFS-6.

Thanks in Advance.

Wow didnt realize elevation killed power that much. come down the mountain and prob blow the damn engine up lol. More than likely you will have to look at them on nonjdm ej20's in the proven power board. i have no experience with either. I have heard alot about the 3071 on the jdm ej207's though. Im guessing with the flow of either one they should get you to your goal.
