Cold air intakes affect more than just Air Fuel Ratio. Another very important factor is that they can cause the boost to over shoot its target. There is a reason you should have the car tuned for a specific intake and not run an OTS map.

Granted you have been lucky so far with Stage 1 map, and even this could be pure luck as you have no idea what your AFR is do you? But go stage 2, the air fuel ratio and boost error is ever greater. You have no wideband I presume? So now you will be over shooting your boost target, probably running lean, and not even realize it. You will be the next person posting in the Technical section that you have had catastrophic engine failure and don't know why.

I'm not judging, do what you want, its your car. But out of curiosity, why would you do something so careless and not even know if the car is running ok? Are you just hoping it wont break?
