All scales read a little differently....

A couple of weeks ago I weighd my '05 BBS wheel and then a Rota Boost, both 17X8's...one forged, one cast. This was at my friends mail shop.

His scale stated 18 bbs, 18.7 Rota...

I mounted the Rotas up. The BBS were Gold and I wanted to have a different look, thus went with Boost in Steel Gray.

Fast forward.....My girlfriend likes the Gold so she ordered me a set of the Boosts in Gold...I guess she thinks I need multiple sets off wheels like she does shoes..

Anyway I went to a UPS shop around the corner and here you go...

Boosts 20.6....BBS 19.5....

Those scales are "very" accurate according to the manager there. However my buddy's shop did show only a 7 ounce difference...

At any rate it would appear that the worse case is the Rota weighs 17 ounces more than the BBS, accordning to the UPS scale.

This isn't a "quality" comparision...just the weights as asked by a lot of folks..
