want to kick the old lady out of your subaru? does your car have the subframe lock down kit ? one way to tell is jack up the rear end and look inside the wheel wells in the back to see if the bolts are in or if the holes are still open. the bolt holes are on all wrx .they will help with any type of racing you might do they lock the rear diff of the car so it does not rotate on take off . subaru makes it loose for the old ladies so they wont jerk their neck on take off with a turbo.sadly old ladies have weak necks and subaru makes fast cars. if you are going to rally cross or any type of racing you will feel the change.they only take a few minuets to install in any drive way no major mechanical knowledge needed.
get the power to the wheels!!

Add drivetrain rigidity and precision to throttle input to your Subaru with our PERRIN PerformanceTM Diff Lock Down System. This kit consists of (2) kits in one, the DLS and SLS. The DLS (differential lock down system) consists of 6 urethane bushings to lockdown the rear differential support beams. This helps remove movement from the rear differential under extreme conditions such as drag racing and road racing. Under these conditions the drivetrain (diff included) will twist and move around before it starts to turn the wheels causing a "squishy" or spongy feel at the point of initial acceleration. The PERRIN rear diff lock down (DLS) locks the differential by stiffening up the front and rear mounts for zero movement so when you push on the gas, the car goes with no delay.
Also included in the kit is the PERRIN (SLS)Subrame lockdown kit. The rear subframe on the 02-07 Impreze/STI/WRX is monted to the chassis with rubber bushings. Under extreme conditions like road racing where high cornering forces are seen, the subframe moves around causing a loose feeling in the car. This also can cause the alignment of the wheels to change, also causing a feeling of looseness.
As you can see both the SLS and DLS goes hand and hand and can make a noticeable difference on your 02-07 STI/WRX/Impreza.
