i'm not sure the tire explosions were 100% pirellis fault. sure, the tires should be able to stand up to more abuse than they were put through before failing, but i think if the drivers had stayed in the confines of the track and kerbs (ie: not using the green cement) i doubt there would have been any blowouts like we saw.

Itīs the same curb for more than three years, but not in 2012 nor in 2011 we have seen any tire explosions.

The GP2 held practice and two races at the same weekend in Silverstone, with Pirelli tires, no tire explosions.
