I have heard some good reviews about the Icebears, did you have any problem driving around up at the plateau? I am moving back up soon so thats one of the reason why I need winter tires.
I got 225/45/17 but I noticed that even though they were stock size, they still fit narrower than the RE070--more risk of curb rash . I had no problems on the Plateau at all. I went up to Cypress in the snow (took it easy) and there was no slipping either. I can see them lasting at least 3 or 4 seasons because when I took them off they still looked almost new. They were a lot cheaper than the other popular brands and pretty stable at high speeds, too.
