However, it has been determined that the light cut off is the almost identical between halogen and HID bulbs. The problem starts to arise when you go for HIDs that are visually brighter than the halogens. HID bulbs come in a range of color temperatures and wattages and the visual output is different from one temperature/wattage to another.

I personally think the blue 8000k+ is blinding as ****! 3000k puts out the most lumens and the higher the temperature the less lumens is put out.
But, i'm not sure if it's the color or that everyone likes to put 8000/10000k bulbs in their reflective headlight housing.
