In small print underneath that big advertised number it says most people will see x-y mpg

I would also like to know the testing procedure, but i think the speed is in the 60-65mph range, i know they changed it from 55 a few years ago

I found this http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_...in_automobiles so unless you drive like it describes from 2008+ vehicles, you probably aren't going to see the mpg rated.
